⚠ character song: todoroke ✩ kung-fu master ⚠

Translation done by Bomber D. Rufi, with edits done by myself. There's also another translation here that I borrowed a couple of wordings from. Kanji and romaji originally from This is Sternbild.

inabikari tooku no sora e   chanto mitete kureteru ka na
genki da yo   kega shitenai yo   kyou mo ganbatteru yo

meippai toreeningu shite   oishii gohan nokosanaide
se mo sukoshi takakunatta kamo   au to odoroku kamo
I wonder if you see the flashes of my lightning in the distance whenever you look up...
I'm energetic, I'm honorable, and I'll do my best today, too!
I give my all in training, and when I eat I never leave a single delicious morsel behind.
Maybe I've gotten a little taller -- you might be surprised the next time we meet.

samishikunai tte ittara uso dakedo

minna ga iru kara daijoubu

shion no omoi omamori ni shite

boku wa itsumo zenkai
I won't lie and say that I don't get lonely...
But since everyone's here, I'm all right.
Thanks to the feelings in this aster amulet...
I'm always at full power!

kanfuu masutaa kiwamete iku yo!

minna no kitai made iiarusan! icchokusen!

isamashiku susume ryuu no gotoku   hikare seigi no inazuma
I'm training to be the ultimate kung-fu master!
1, 2, 3 -- I'll meet everyone's expectations head-on!2
I'll make a name for myself at lightning speed, and become a helpful adult.
I'll be like a dragon storming bravely ahead whose lightning shines with justice!

onna no ko rashiku suru no wa   yappari chiito mo narenai yo

kangaeru yori mo kanjite   motto machi no tame ni naritai

It figures that I can't get used to acting like a girl.
Being a tomboy is what's most natural for me right now.
I think -- no, I feel -- that I want to be more like this for the city's sake.
That's what fits me best, so don't feel bad, okay?

kono michi wa boku no susumubeki michi

chanto ne, wakatterunda

jibun shinjite massugu ikou

nanka moete kuru yoo
This path is the path I must walk:
I know this for sure.
Something's come to burn inside me...
So I'll believe in myself and forge straight ahead!

sandaa doragon tsuyoku naritai!

yuukirinrin ni moumantai! muteppou?

migakitai ude mo chikara mo   komatteru hito mamorunda

takaraka ni mae yo ryuu no gotoku   hibike seigi no otakebi (saah!)
I want to become a mighty thunder dragon!
Having high spirits isn't a problem for me! Is that reckless?3
I want to polish my skills and strength to protect those in trouble.
I'll be like a thunderous, dancing dragon whose war cry echoes with justice! (Hyaaah!)

kanfuu masutaa kiwamete iku yo!

minna no kitai made iiarusan! icchokusen!

isamashiku susume ryuu no gotoku   hikare seigi no inazuma
I'm training to be the ultimate kung-fu master!
1, 2, 3 -- I'll meet everyone's expectations head-on!
I'll make a name for myself at lightning speed, and become a helpful adult.
I'll be like a dragon storming bravely ahead whose lightning shines with justice!

1轟く (todoroku) actually has two meanings. One is "to roar", and the other is "to be well-known, famous". I went with the first one for the title, since it fits with Pao-Lin being Dragon Kid, but the second meaning fits equally well considering she's essentially a star on a reality show. (The word also appears in the first iteration of the chorus.)
2イーアルサン (ii aru san) is the Japanese phonetic rendering of the Mandarin words for one, two, and three. (Sources: Here in Japanese, and then here in English.)
3The characters written here for moumantai (無問題) don't actually make sense together in Japanese. That's because this is Chinese instead -- specifically, the traditional Chinese script for a Min Nan exclamation meaning "no problem!" (Source: Wiktionary.)4
4I am even less familiar with Chinese languages than I am with Japanese, so if you know better than I do on this issue, I'm all ears.
